This series contains correspondence from 1964 to 1968 maintained by the Florida Constitution Revision Commission. These files document the work of the Commission and the concern of the public about revisions to the constitution. A large portion of the records is correspondence to and from the Chairman of the Commission, Chesterfield H. Smith. In addition to correspondence, the series includes some reports and newspaper clippings.

The 1968 Constitution contains a continuous revision clause providing for the revision of the Constitution within the first ten years after approval, and a revision every twenty years thereafter (Article XI, Section 2). The Constitution specifies a thirty-seven member commission be selected to prepare revisions.
